Many studies were focused on statistics comparing the incidence of developing Diabetes among different racial and ethnic groups. They showed that blacks were 2-3 times more likely to develop diabetes type 2 than white women. Asian and Hispanics in this age group were twice as likely. This study showed that the benefits of weight loss and exercise extend into all four racial groups.
